2 AGRIBUSINESS – 2.80 - AQUACULTURE EMPOWERMENT PROJECTS


 

In the state department of Fisheries, Aquaculture and the Blue Economy, there are 9 projects among them:
 
●Aquaculture Business Development Programme (ABDP)
●Kenya Marine Fisheries and Socio-economic Development Project (KEMFSED)
●Development of Fish Quality Laboratories
●Rehabilitation of Fish Landing sites in Lake Victoria
●Coastal Infrastructure Development
 
The accessibility of these opportunities is crucial for the youths. Since agriculture is a devolved function, I encouraged the youths to visit their respective county government Departments of agriculture to be given directions on how to apply and benefit. I also encouraged the youths to visit the ministry website www.kilimo.go.ke
to know all the projects running in the counties.
 
From the deliberations, it came out clear and powerful that many youths seek mentorship in the agricultural value chain and life in general.
 
I hereby call on all youth of Kenya to take up these opportunities and especially apply to the already released call for applications by the ENABLE YOUTH PROJECT through enableyouth.kilimo.go.ke. The deadline is 25th November 2020 and be proactive in their quest for information on how they can benefit from the County departments of agriculture project's from National government.

Katika idara ya serikali ya Uvuvi, Kilimo cha Majini na Uchumi wa Bluu, kuna miradi 9 kati yao:
 
●Mpango wa Maendeleo ya Biashara ya Ufugaji wa samaki (ABDP)
●Mradi wa Uvuvi wa Baharini wa Kenya na Maendeleo ya Kiuchumi na Kijamii (KEMFSED)
●Uendelezaji wa Maabara za Ubora wa Samaki
●Ukarabati wa maeneo ya Kutua Samaki katika Ziwa Victoria
●Uendelezaji wa Miundombinu ya Pwani
 
Upatikanaji wa fursa hizi ni muhimu kwa vijana. Kwa kuwa kilimo ni shughuli iliyoendelezwa, niliwahimiza vijana kutembelea idara zao za serikali za kaunti za kilimo ili kupewa maelekezo ya jinsi ya kutuma maombi na kufaidika. Pia niliwahimiza vijana kutembelea tovuti ya wizara www.kilimo.go.ke
kujua miradi yote inayoendeshwa katika kaunti.
 
Kutokana na mijadala hiyo, ilionekana wazi na yenye nguvu kwamba vijana wengi walitafuta ushauri katika mnyororo wa thamani wa kilimo na maisha kwa ujumla.
 
Kwa hili ninatoa wito kwa vijana wote wa Kenya kuchukua fursa hizi na hasa kutuma maombi kwa wito ambao tayari umetolewa wa kutuma maombi na WAWEZESHA VIJANA PROJECT kupitia enableyouth.kilimo.go.ke. Makataa ni tarehe 25 Novemba 2020 na wawe makini katika jitihada zao za kupata taarifa kuhusu jinsi wanavyoweza kufaidika na mradi wa idara za kaunti za kilimo kutoka kwa serikali ya Kitaifa.
